ENGLISH DAY PROGRAMME OF 21ST AND 22ND INTAKE ARTIFICER APRENTICES

The Naval Institute of Technology hosted an "English Day" programme, organised by the Artificer Apprentices of 21st and 22nd Intakes on 10th May 2023. The event was graced by Captain WATPS Weerasooriya, the Director of Studies as the chief guest. The programme which aimed to showcase the English language proficiency of the trainees, featured a variety of performances including speeches, songs, dances and dramas. The programme was held under the guidance of English Lecturer, Mrs Virginia Perera who addressing the gathering at the end of the programme, expressed her pride in seeing the trainees from all parts of Sri Lanka collaborating together to entertain the audience with their hidden talents. The event was well received by the audience, with many praising the efforts of the Artificer Apprentices and their English Lecturer. The "English Day" programme proved to be an excellent platform for the trainees to showcase their language skills and talents while also highlighting the importance of the English language in today's world.
