DIRECTOR GENERAL ENGINEERING VISIT THE NAVAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Director General Engineering, Rear Admiral H.K. Dassanaike, USP, ndc, psc, MDS (UoK), MPA (PIM-USJ), BSc (DS) Mar Eng, CEng (SL), CEng (I), MIE (SL), MIE (I), MCPM, visited the Naval Institute of Technology (NIT) on 26th March 2025.

During the visit, he paid keen attention to the training process, trainer development, infrastructure, and facilities at NIT, emphasizing their enhancement to ensure the institute's continuous growth and effectiveness in naval technical education.

He also engaged with instructors and trainees, discussing the challenges and improvements needed in skill development. Additionally, he inspected the surroundings of NIT premises and provided valuable guidance on future enhancement to align NIT’s training standards with modern naval engineering requirements.
