NAVAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY APPRENTICES VISIT INDIAN NAVAL SHIP SAHYADRI - 2025.

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri arrived at the Port of Colombo on 04th April 2025 for a formal visit. The Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the ship in accordance with naval customs. INS Sahyadri, a 143-meter-long frigate manned by 320 crew members, is commanded by Captain Rajat Kumar.

During the visit, the ship's commanding officer paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Western Naval Area at Western Naval Command Headquarters. The crew of INS Sahyadri engaged in a range of activities hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy, aimed at enhancing bilateral naval cooperation. In addition, the crew had the opportunity to explore various tourist attractions across Sri Lanka. The visit concluded with INS Sahyadri departing Colombo on 07th April 2025.
