VICTORY BY THE WOMEN TRAINEE ARTIFICERS OF NIT

The Sri Lanka Naval Ship (SLNS) Thakshila proudly marked its 18^th anniversary in 28^th September 2025. As part of the commemorative activities, an inter-departmental cricket match was held on 26^th July at the NIT playground. The event was graced by the Captain NACC Munasinghe, USP, psc Commanding Officer of SLNS Thakshila, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The match showcased remarkable talent and sportsmanship, culminating in a well-deserved victory by the women trainee artificers of NIT. Apprentice AMID Alahakoon, representing the 25^th intake, was recognised as the Best Cricketer of the tournament for her outstanding performance.
