The Techno 2025 exhibition, organized by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), was held from 10th to 12th October 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). The Sri Lanka Navy maintained a booth at the event, with a dedicated section allocated to the Naval Institute of Technology (NIT). The following equipment provided by NIT was displayed to demonstrate the Institute’s strong technical foundation and innovation-driven approach:
PLC-based Engineering Control Unit
Marine Engine Cut Model
Outboard Motor Water-Jet Model
The exhibits, designed and prepared under the guidance of NIT’s academic and technical staff, reflected the Institute’s emphasis on practical engineering education. NIT trainees visited the exhibition throughout the three days, observing the latest technological trends and gaining valuable exposure to real-world engineering applications. Their deep interest and understanding of the displayed equipment showcased their capability and confidence to design and build similar machines in the future. The enthusiasm and potential displayed by the trainees left a strong impression on many visitors, creating the sense that being part of NIT would be an exceptional opportunity for any aspiring technologist. Overall, Techno 2025 highlighted NIT as a hub of young talent, innovation, and future-ready technical excellence.
