NAVAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CELEBRATES ITS ENGLISH DAY-2026

All trainees of the Naval Institute of Technology celebrated English Day on 21^st May 2026 at the NIT auditorium at 1900 hrs. The 23^rd, 24^th, 25^th, and 26^th intakes actively participated in this program. It was a rich program including individual speeches, group discussions, group songs, solo songs, dramas, dances, and also a calypso.

The main objective of conducting an English Day was to help trainees get rid of stage fear, improve speaking before a gathering, and enhance language skills. The program seemed to have achieved its goals.

The English Day was graced by Captain (C) RMRS Bandara, the Commanding Officer of SLNS Thakshila. He emphasized that this was a well-planned and perfect event. The Director of Studies of the Naval Institute of Technology, Captain (L) SSH Bandara, also appreciated the event.

The English instructress of the Naval Institute of Technology, Lt. AMTK Abeykoon, guided the conducting of this event.
